Information on the President George Bush Turnpike Eastern Extension Available Online

The Eastern Extension of the President George Bush Turnpike is part of the Loop 9/State Highway 190 corridor envisioned in the 1960s. It is part of the outer loop around Dallas and its suburbs, connecting Interstate Highway (IH) 30 to the existing President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT). Construction on the approximately 9.9-mile corridor began in October 2008 in Rowlett. Work on the south end started in December in Garland, and then north-end work started in February in Rowlett, Sachse and Garland.
