1. Meeting Called to Order at 5:20 p.m.
2. Approved Minutes from October 3, 2007
3. Review of Committee Assignments & Meeting Schedules
TDS committee will meet on 2nd Thursday of each month at 3:15 p.m. Promotions TBA. Service Committee will meet on last Friday at 3:15 p.m. All Committee meetings in Dorothy’s office so far.
4. Youth Leadership Garland Presentation on November 15
Molly & Beate indicated they could participate.
5. Consider potential Service Projects
Decided on a Fashion Show & Talent Showcase for bands to be scheduled on National Youth Service Day, April 26, 2008 (Saturday). Committee to determine details and report back.
6. 2007-08 Teach-In Schedule
Mostly in May.
7. 2007-08 Calendar Updates
March meeting will be TDS event, possibly on a different date & location. 2008 meeting locations TBA at next regular meeting.
8. Promotional Ideas (including t-shirts)
“Shelf life” of current discussed and sent to promotional committee to consider as well as possibility of posters.
9. Consider possible changes to Garland Youth Council ordinance
We’d like applicants to attend for half their sophomore year… we will continue to discuss this issue. Need to consider effective date for any changes and appointment process.
10. Announcements & Upcoming Events
We need to videotape TDS testimonials.
Everyone invited to volunteer at Christmas on the Square or just come enjoy.

Ariel Cobb- former GYC member – thought
Fashion show is a good idea. Suggested promoting during GHS fashion show in February and visiting Art Institute fashion shows for ideas.
