Called to order at 5:30 p.m.
1. Approved Minutes from September 18, 2007
2. Review of Committee Assignments & Meeting Schedules
Committee participants/assignments reviewed, discussed methods for planning committees and importance of posting committee meeting agendas. Committees will bring proposed meeting schedules to next regular GYC meeting.
3. Consider possible changes to Garland Youth Council ordinance
Discussed potential changes to ordinance. The idea of having a sophomore apprentice and a senior mentor for every junior was brought up, or maybe having a “point system” for freshmen/sophomores to be eligible for appointment. The Promotion Committee say they would come up with some ideas to discuss next time. All were encouraged to bring ideas.
