Garland Youth Council
Notice is hereby given that a meeting of the Garland Youth Council of the City of Garland, Texas, will be held at 7 PM on Tuesday, February 13, 2007, in the City Council Chamber on the first floor of City Hall, 200 North Fifth Street, Garland, Texas.
Items to be discussed:
1. Approval of Minutes from January 9, 2006 Meeting
2. Recognition of T-shirt Design Contest Winners
3. Teens in the Drivers Seat Update
4. Applications Available for 2007-08 GYC
5. GYC Meeting Location Changes
March 6 – Gale Fields Rec Center
April 3 – Granger Rec Center
May 1 – Holford Rec Center
6. Input for proposed Skate Park
City staff will give a brief presentation about the proposed skate park. Citizens wanting to speak on this subject must fill out a speaker card. Each speaker will be allowed 3 minutes to present their ideas. If GYC members ask questions of the speaker, additional time will be granted to answer those questions.
7. Citizen Comments
Youth are encouraged to give their input on issues in the City that impact them and offer suggestions about how to address these issues. Youth Council members cannot respond to issues that are not posted on the agenda according to the Texas Opens Meetings Act.
