Notice: City of Garland Ordinance #4671 requires members of this Commission to disqualify themselves if they have a conflict of interest, as defined in Article V, Section 10.50, of this ordinance. If such a conflict exists in a matter, a Commission member must complete a “Disqualified Affidavit” and may not participate in any discussion or vote on the matter. Disqualification Affidavits are available form the Director of Civil Service or the City Secretary’s office.
1. Consider adoption of the agenda.
2. Consider approval of the minutes of the Commission’s Regular Meeting of October 12, 2006.
3. Conduct annual election of officers of the Civil Service Commission.
4. Review Fitness for Duty reports for James Alexander.
5. Consider approval of the Police Supervisor Eligibility List resulting from the Supervisor Promotional Exam conducted on January 23, 2007.
6. Review monthly reports of the Police Department.
7. Review letters of appreciation received by the Police Department.
8. Review disciplinary actions of the Police Department:
- Officer Donna F. Roten – Suspension
- Officer Rodney T. Schaum – Suspension
- Officer Colleen B. Ohlde - Suspension
9. Review monthly reports of the Fire Department.
10. Review letters of appreciation received by the Fire Department.
11. Consider motion for adjournment.
