Garland Youth Council
NOTICE is hereby given that a meeting of the Garland Youth Council of the City of Garland, Texas, will be held at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, 2007, in the Work Session Room on the first floor of City Hall, 200 North Fifth Street, Garland, Texas.
Items to be discussed:
1. Approval of Minutes from December 5, 2006 Meeting
2. Plan Committee Report
Update on t-shirt design contest.
3. Teens in the Drivers Seat
Presentation of Teens in the Drivers Seat program to Youth Council and representatives from GISD high schools.
4. Skate Park Committee Report
Updates on February 13th Skate Park Town Meeting.
5. Health & Safety Committee Report
Teach-In Recap.
6. Texas Youth Summit
Summit is scheduled for February 17-18. Members need to advise whether they will be able to attend.
7. Citizen Comments
Youth are encouraged to give their input on issues in the City that impact them and offer suggestions about how to address these issues. Youth Council members cannot respond to issues that are not posted on the agenda according to the Texas Opens Meetings Act.
